The seaport administrations
The seaport administrations are created in the form of federal state budgetary institutions, that act in accordance with the regulation on the administration of seaports, approved by the Ministry of Transport of Russia, and provide organizational, logistical and financial support for the performance of the functions of seaport captains, as well as provide the following services in the seaport:
- To ensure the safety of navigation in the seaport and on the port way.
- To ensure readiness for emergency rescue operations.
- Conducting rescue operations in the seaport.
The head of the administration of seaports is not entitled to interfere in the activities of the seaport captain and officials of the service of the seaport captain executing their functions as the seaport captain.
